1. Does the camera support continuous recording?

The 4G solar pan tilt camera does not support continuous recording. It is only used for on-demand monitoring. The camera will work when a motion is detected or user initiates a live view in the app.

2. What’s the operating temperature of this camera?

-10-50 ℃ / 14-122℉. Freezing weather will affect battery working efficiency.

PIR motion detection works best between -10-37 ℃ / 14-98.6℉.

3. Does the camera work with WiFi connection?

No, it only supports 4G LTE cellular network connection. WiFi connection is NOT supported.

4. How long will batteries last if the camera is not charged due to bad weather?

The 4G solar powered security camera will last for about one month with fully charged battery, given that the camera is waken up by motion detection less than 20 times a day.

5. Does the camera support any third party apps?

No, the 4G LTE cellular outdoor camera only supports Kassa Security app that can be downloaded from App Store or Google Play.

6. What capacity of the Micro SD card does the camera support?

The IP66 outdoor security camera supports the max 256GB Micro SD card. Please note that TF card needs to be purchased separately.

7. Can I use my own SIM card with this 4G LTE cellular security camera?

No, this cellular based security camera can only work with the enclosed SIM card, other SIM card is not available.

8. What will the data plan cost if I use the SIM card that comes in the camera package?

For 1GB, $9.99 with 30 days validity.
For 3GB, $15.99 with 30 days validity.
For 6GB, $59.99 with 360 days validity.

9. How much data is normally consumed per month?

There are 2 scenarios that consume data, one is that camera is triggered by movements, the other is that user initiates live view from phone app.

For the first scenario, with
cloud subscription, every video uploaded to cloud storage will consume around
3-5MB data; without cloud subscription, one trigger will consume very little
data, which is no more than 70KB.

If
you don't have a live view and you don't purchase cloud storage service, and
you set PIR Sensitivity to Off mode, the camera will consume very little data
per day, no more than 500KB per day.

For the second scenario, 1-minute live view(in SD mode) will consume 7MB data.

Let's say if you have 20 times trigger(without cloud subscription) per
day and 2 minute live view, you will consume around 15MB data, thus 1GB is
enough per month.

Note : 1GB=1024MB, 1MB=1024KB

Great if you don’t have internet!!!

From time to time, the internet may go out. This leaves your home unsecured. I didn’t know they made 4G security cameras but I was happy to find this one on Amazon! Easy to set up, long battery life and built in, easy activation. The white color matches the trim on my house and blends nicely. It is also made very well.

I set up the camera for my remote off grid property to watch who is coming in and out of the driveway. Love that is runs off solar with no electricity needed. The solar charges the camera excellent so far. I’ve had the camera up for about 2 weeks and it’s working great. It was a little tricky to find an area that gets a strong enough cell signal for it in our remote location but after moving the camera a few times we found a good spot. The video is very clear and the app is pretty easy to navigate to monitor the camera. Super easy to set up and install. I would definitely get another one of these if I wanted to add another camera. I also appreciate the pre paid data plans so I can only pay for the time that I actually need the camera. No contracts! The plans are very affordable for AT&T service.
